Center participation in Dubai Summer Surprises Activities 2008 concludes
The participation of the center in Dubai Summer Surprises Activities which were organized by the Economic Development Department and continued from 19-6-2008 till 22-8-2008 has concluded with a distinctive fair about the Emirates containing historical pictures and documents stating the history and heritage of the U. A. E. in the heritage part at Mudhesh Fun City- Dubai Airport.
The fair contained more than 50 pictures about the U. A. E., the late H. H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al- Nahyan, and H. H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, stating a very important period in the history of federation of the U. A. E. and the political relations with the Arabs and western countries. The fair also contained a group of figures’ pictures such as poets, educators and scholars who enriched the scientific and cultural life of the U. A. E., in addition to the historical documents indicating the main important correspondences between the educators and rulers, and the internal and external correspondences.
The fair displayed a group of drawings and pictures showing the cultural and history of the Emirates such as popular games in the past, pearl diving, customs, traditions in the ceremonies and anniversaries.
The same fair also included a corner for children entitled “ color and win†in an aattempt considered the first for children to strengthen and enhance their social, religious and educational concepts through the logo of Dubai Summer Surprises Activities which is “ Mudhesh toy†,in which they specified a corner for children to color drawings with an exciting titles such as : Mudhesh reads, Mudhesh obeys his parents, Mudhesh respects the elder, and Mudhesh prays, and the drawings referred to these meanings since the child reads the words enclosed with the pictures and colors them to improve his conscious and feeling of responsibility. Dr. Ali Saleh Al Kindy, the head of the Public Relations Section in the center and the general supervisor of this fair and activity said that this corner witnessed a huge attendance by children in Mudhesh Fun City.
