Under the patronage of His Excellency Juma Al Majid, Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage organized the conclusion of the training courses in†manuscripts restoration and prints cataloguing and classification†on Wednesday morning 25-03-2009, Mr. Juma Al Majid started this ceremony with a speech in which he mentioned that keeping manuscripts is the responsibility of everyone and we hope that all the trainess will take their responsibilities to work and train their colleagues; he said that “the librarian is one of the noble works that serve the book and the book is the key of achieving progress and civilizationâ€.
Dr. Bassam Al Daghistani the scientific supervisor of the restoration course thanked the trainees and he asked them to work hard because there is considerable work ahead in their institutions and not hesitate to contact when facing any problem in the field of restoration.
Mr. Khalid Al Kharousi from the Sultanate of Oman thanked His Excellency Juma Al Majid for organizing this course in his center he also thanked the trainers headed by Dr. Bassam Aldagstani and Mr. Nidal Qawaf.
Mr. Imad Subbah the scientific supervisor of the cataloguing and classification training course thanked Mr. Juma Al Majid and he also the trainees for their patience and their hard working and he said “we hope that you will develop your cultural materials of your libraries to be real institutions of information for the benefit of the scholarsâ€.
Mariam Al Homr one of the trainees and a librarian at Al Diwan Al Amiri in Fujairah delivered the speech of trainees, in which she thanked the trainers and she said that she has been working in this field since two years ago and today she has improved her skills and knowledge during these courses. Before the end of the ceremony, the trainee Mohamed Ifarkhas delivered a poem; after that Mr. Juma Al Majid handed over the certificates of participation and gratitude for 75 trainees and trainers.
