Karim Al Iraqi chants “The sun is mine, Iraq is mine” in AL Owais Foundation  6/12/2008 

Under the patronage of H. H. Juma Al Majid, Sultan bin Ali Al Owais Foundation and Juma Al Majid Center organized a poetic evening for the poet Karim Al Iraqi on 12/6/2008 in which he presented expressive national poems.
He started the evening with an acknowledgement poem to The United Arab Emirates addressed to H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Prime Minister and Vice-President, and Ruler of Dubai, who is worried about the Arabs from Baghdad to Morocco, after that he presented some of poems expressing the pain of Iraq such as “the sun is mine and Iraq is mineâ€‌, “the city of loveâ€‌, “the city of bulletsâ€‌, “the portâ€‌, “God bless youâ€‌ and the nice popular poem “Daly Al Daloolâ€‌.
Mr. Ali Sarhan ,who accompanied the poet in the evening, played a tune gave romance and charm to the evening that greatly attracted the audience.
The Saudi artist Sara Al Sahly has displayed her plates before the evening which were derived from the poems of Karim Al Iraqi such as “The billiards’ player â€‌ and “The despoticâ€‌
At the end of the evening Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Motawa', a member of the board of trustees, presented a souvenir to the poet.
