Dr. Abdullah Musa Al Tayer, the new Cultural Attaché at the Consulate of Saudi Arabia in Dubai, visited yesterday morning our Center to be aquinted with the cultural materials of the center in order to renew the cooperation between the Saudi Cultural Attaché and the Center.
The guest was very impressed by the high progress of the center in the field of cataloging, classification and restoration of the cultural resources, as well as our interest of the heritage of the UAE through the Department of National Heritage by providing historical references of the region to researchers.
Dr. Al Tayer met H.E. Juma Al Majid in his office, and they discussed the cultural situation in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and how to eliminate the bureaucracy that impedes the cultural activities . The guest showed that he is ready to open up cooperation between the Saudi cultural institutions and Juma Al Majid Center. He said that he had heard a lot about the center but what he saw today is more than what he had heard.
At the end of the visit, Dr Al Tayer invited Dr. Mohamed Yasser Amro, the general manager of the center, to visit the consulate and discuss the mechanisms of fulfilling of the joint cultural projects.
It is worth to mention that Juma Al Majid Center has good cultural relations with many governmental and private institutions in Saudi Arabia, and a lot of Saudi researchers are in continuous contact with the center.
