It includes of three sections

Multimedia : this section is considered one of the users services departments, contains various cultural materials (compact discs, video cassettes, microfilms and photographs), these materials are provided to this section by gift and exchange, purchase (acquisition section) or produced by the multimedia section itself, it also includes activities hall for symposiums , conferences, training courses and lectures, and montage studio in addition to media hall inside users service section.

The aim

Providing various cultural audio-visual materials such as films and tapes for researchers and users.

The tasks

·        Organizing and preparing the activities hall.

·        Photographing the meetings that hold inside the center and abroad (photograph + video).

·        Photocopying different cultural materials whether (CD, DVD, cassettes or photos).

·        Serving the researchers and users at the digital library in coordination with researchers’ service section.

National heritage section : this section concerns with the history of the United Arab Emirates and the Arabian Gulf Region, and the political circumstances since the European occupation which led to the struggles that happened between tribes to get power and sovereignty, till the unification, progress and prosperity especially after the discovery of oil.

Aims

Serving the users through providing various cultural items (Arabic & English books – articles – documents – maps - photographs) related to the United Arab Emirates in particular and the Gulf Region in general, also exchanging information with other cultural and educational institutions inside the United Arab Emirates and abroad.

Tasks

·        Getting documents from multi-language archives (Russian – British- American and Ottoman) through subscriptions and agreements with these archives.

·        Participating in exhibitions, lectures and symposiums inside The United Arab Emirates and abroad.

·        Searching for topics that related to The United Arab Emirates in books and periodicals and presenting them to the researchers.

Researchers services section

This section aims to achieve the most benefits for researchers , enhances  the cultural and educational consciousness through giving facilities to be aware of the references related to the library of the center.

Aims

Providing various information for researchers quickly and easily, in order to increase awareness , spread culture and serve scholars and researchers

Services :

-Internal Reading Service through providing materials to researchers and readers inside this section.

- Answering Inquiries : through telephone, fax, E-mail or by personal attendance.

-Internet Service : free of charge service for researchers with out  any subscription or cost.

-Current Awareness Service : aims to inform the researchers of what are the recent materials that match their needs.

Reference Service :   refers to useful links for the center, library and the users..

Photocopying Service : available for all with special conditions and  at low price.
