Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai organized a scientific virtual lecture on Wednesday, January 12 entitled “Gilding in the Illustrations of Archaeological Manuscripts”, presented by Prof. Dr. Amin Abdullah Al-Rashidi, Professor of Islamic Photography and Head of the Department of Islamic Archeology at the Faculty of Archeology at Fayoum University in the Republic of Egypt. sister.
Dr. Al-Rashidi spoke on several axes, most notably, the definition of gilding linguistically and idiomatically, the history of gilding, its confiscation in the Arabian Peninsula, methods of making gilding, types of gilding in manuscripts, and the places of gilding in illustrations of manuscripts.
