The President of the American University in Cairo visits the Juma Al Majid Center

Dr. Mohamed Kamel Gad, Director General of the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai, received a delegation from the American University in Cairo, which included Dr. Ahmed Dallal, President of the American University in Cairo, and Mr. Richard Brough, Vice President for Institutional Development. and Ms. Raymonda Raef, Executive Director of Alumni Affairs.
The visit aimed to see the center and discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the university and the center in common areas between them.
Dr. Muhammad Kamel welcomed the visiting delegation, and explained to them the role played by the Center in preserving world heritage, through the establishment of restoration laboratories and imaging laboratories in many countries whose manuscripts need to be preserved. Then Mr. Anwar Al-Dhaheri, Head of the Public Relations Division at the Center, accompanied the delegation on an extensive tour that began with the Exhibition of Giving March, which includes a number of rare holdings owned by the Center, and photographs documenting scientific visits and agreements concluded by the Center with international cultural institutions. Then the delegation visited the Libraries Section. He saw the libraries of the great Arab scholars and intellectuals, and the visit was concluded in the Manuscripts section.
