The Awsha Bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi Foundation (The Arab Girl) and Jumah Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage organized, on Saturday, December 26th, a virtual forum for Emirati poets under the title “In the hospitality of Ousha”. The prominent women are the poet Mariam Al Naqbi, the poet Naela Al Ahbabi, the poet Sogha, and the poet Mutara Al Kaabi.
The forum comes in recognition of the contributions of Qamar al-Poetry and his lady poet Ausha bint Khalifa al-Suwaidi (Girl of the Arabs) who left her mark on the Emirati cultural scene in particular and the Gulf in general through her discussion of Arab and national issues, as her poems witnessed literary, social and historical transformations that affected the local and Gulf cultural life.
