Adaptation and Flexibility in the Work Environment Course

Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai held a course titled “Adaptability and Resilience in the Workplace,” presented by Dr. Abdelkader Al-Adaqi, an expert in training and coaching. The course was attended by 28 participants from various governmental and private institutions.
The course aimed to develop participants’ skills in psychological flexibility and adaptability in the workplace, achieve balance in their self-perception and perception of others, and enhance values of tolerance. It also aimed to foster harmony, accept and overcome others’ mistakes, and train on decision-making methods free from emotions and fear through a flexible mindset instead of a rigid one.

Dr. Al-Adaqi said, “Psychological flexibility generates a positive spirit in individuals and the actual ability to manage and adapt to situations. It is one of the essential elements that contribute to an individual’s adaptation to a changing work environment, facing challenges, and working with a team spirit. Psychological flexibility skills aim to boost morale and the spirit of challenge in individuals, allowing them to face professional and personal pressures with an accepting and positive attitude, and to think creatively to solve problems and overcome circumstances.”
The course included many exercises, techniques, and workshops in which the participants engaged. At the end of the course, the center presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Al-Adaqi, and certificates were distributed to the participants.
