Dr. Mohamed Kamal Jadd, General Manager of the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage, welcomed Professor Dr. Ahmed Shawki Benben, Director of the Hassanian Library in Rabat, who visited the center on the sidelines of his participation in the Sharjah International Book Fair.
During the meeting, Dr. Jadd and his guest discussed ways to enhance cooperation in mutual fields and exchanged in-depth conversations about the pioneering role played by His Excellency Juma Al Majid, Chairman of the Center, in preserving manuscripts worldwide. Dr. Benben commended the efforts made by His Excellency Juma Al Majid in this field.
Dr. Jadd then took his guest on a tour of the center’s departments, beginning with a visit to the reading room, frequented by researchers. He provided an overview of the services the library offers to the public, such as manuscript digitization, answering inquiries, and providing the latest technological tools to facilitate access to information.
The guest also visited the private libraries storage section, where he viewed some of the prominent private libraries that have been added to the center’s collection.
At the end of the visit, Dr. Mohamed Kamal Jadd, General Manager of the center, presented his guest with a selection of the center’s valuable publications.
