Dubai Municipality hands over 3,000 books to the Juma Al Majid Center

Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai received the fourth batch of books that were collected by the Dubai Municipality, represented by the Waste Management Department, as part of the “Book of Goodness” initiative, which bears the slogan “Invest in your neglected book in spreading the culture of reading.”
This cooperation between Dubai Municipality and the Juma Al Majid Center is one of the fruits of the initiatives launched by the state within the framework of encouraging the culture of reading, and benefiting from the book even after the completion of reading it, by making it available to another reader.
Dr. Muhammad Kamel Jad, Director General of the Center, thanked the Dubai Municipality delegation, represented by Mr. Imad Juma Muhammad, Director of the Studies and Permits Department, Mr. Naji Ibrahim Al Ali, Head of the Technical Studies Division, and Mr. Hani Shaker Al-Nuseirat, Education and Awareness Officer at the Municipality, for their cooperation in Achieving this benefit to society.
The “Book of Goodness” initiative is a community initiative that aims to make the most of neglected books for charitable purposes inside and outside the country, in coordination with the center. Several funds have been allocated to collect used books from the public, in a number of locations such as the Dubai Municipality centers in Al-Twar, Al-Kifaf and Al-Manara, and in a number of One of the public facilities of Dubai Municipality, in addition to the participation of a number of educational and charitable institutions.
