Juma Al Majid Center celebrates the International Arabic Language

The world celebrates International Arabic Language Day on the eighteenth of December every year. On this occasion, the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai participated on December 18, in a special event for International Arabic Language Day, organized by Dubai Media Incorporated at its headquarters in Dubai, in cooperation with Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
The Center’s participation was represented by an exhibition of paintings that included a group of literary manuscripts that the Center possesses, such as Sharh Lamiyat al-Arab by al-Shanfari, Sharh al-Alfiyyat Ibn Malik fi Grammar, copied in 1191 AH, Takhmis Burdah al-Busayri, and Maqamat al-Hariri, as well as a painting from the collection of Ibn al-Aleef.
The center also presented a workshop entitled “Secrets of Sustainability through Paper Restoration.” The workshop focused on introducing the public to the culture of manual restoration of all paper vessels, including manuscripts, books, and documents, with the aim of preserving them.
At the conclusion of the event, those organizing the event at Dubai Media Incorporated thanked the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai for its distinguished participation in making the event a success.
