Juma Al Majid Center concludes its participation in the Arabic Language Summit in Abu Dhabi

Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai participated in the first session of the Arabic Language Summit, which bore the slogan “Language and Identity Industry”, from 20 to 21 December in Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi, which was held under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, head of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, and with a distinguished organization from the Ministry of Culture and Youth in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language of the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, and in the presence of Her Excellency Noura bint Muhammad Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, and Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Head of the Center Abu Dhabi for the Arabic language.
The summit aimed to discuss prospects for the promotion of the Arabic language and its position globally, and dealt with many related issues, and presented more distinctive experiences, visions and dissertations that anticipate the future of the language in its Arab societies and in its new worlds, through dialogue sessions in which a group of writers, thinkers and academics participated.
The Center’s participation in the Arabic Language Summit, led by Dr. Mohamed Kamel Jad, Director General of the Center, represented the summit’s retreat on “Arabic Language Synagogues: A Future Vision”, which dealt with the following axes: Active and Non-Active Language Synagogues: Their Reality, Major Challenges, and Extent The responsibility of the government institution in language governance, the most prominent challenges of using language in life, science and work, the needs of translating and Arabizing science and knowledge, and recommendations for preparing a forward-looking view for the future of Arabic language academies.
