Juma Al Majid Center concludes its participation in the Second International Conference on the Arabic Language

Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai participated in the activities of the Second International Conference on the Arabic Language, which was held from November 16 to 17, 2022 AD, and was organized by the College of Arts at Al Wasl University in Dubai, under the title “Arabic Language and Digital Transformation Technology: Achievement, Reality and Hope.”
The center’s participation was represented by a research paper entitled “A Reading in the Digital Achievement of the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage”, presented by Dr. Mona Mujahid Al Matari, Head of the Studies and Journal Division at the Juma Al Majid Center.
In her paper, Dr. Mona talked about the experience of the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in the field of digitization, which came from the awareness of those in charge of the importance of the digital book and keeping pace with scientific development and investing in digital technology and adapting it to serve science. This is evident in the huge number of digitized materials that the center has digitized, which vary between books and articles. Theses are on different linguistic and lexical topics, including what is historical and what is contemporary. Despite this digital achievement in the center, those in charge of it are looking forward to a broader digital transformation, and are working to unite Arab efforts in all sectors and institutions to reach a qualitative digital transformation that keeps pace with what other languages have achieved in the world.
