Juma Al Majid Center graduated 38 trainees from the Modern Trends in Document and Archive Management course

The activities of the course concluded on May 16, at the headquarters of the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai. The course, which began on May 14, lasted for three days and was attended by 38 trainees, both male and female, specializing in the field of documents and archives from within and outside the country.

The course aimed to simplify and clarify the terms and concepts of document and archive science, as well as to explain the procedures and elements of building document and archive management software, especially in light of the developments in artificial intelligence applications. This was done in the context of international standards and specifications for document management in both traditional and electronic environments.

The course instructors addressed several key topics, including concepts, principles, theories, administrative organization, legal environment, and international standards for document and archive management. They also covered preparing document and archive management systems for the transition to artificial intelligence and big data management, artificial intelligence applications in document and archive management, and digital repository management.

At the end of the course, the participants thanked the center for organizing such a specialized scientific course, which is needed by all institutions related to documents and archives. Dr. Mohamed Kamel Jad, the center’s general manager, then presented certificates to the trainees and lecturers.
