Juma Al Majid Center is honored at the Sharjah International Narrator Forum

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, honored the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage with the “Sharjah International Cultural Heritage” Award, on the sidelines of the activities of the twenty-third session of the Sharjah International Storyteller Forum, under the slogan “Plant Stories”. Its activities will be held at the Expo Center Sharjah, and will last for three days, in the presence of Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Musallam, President of the Sharjah Heritage Institute, and a number of senior officials, intellectuals, storytellers, interested people, and media professionals.
The honor was received on behalf of His Excellency Juma Al Majid, President of the Centre, by Dr. Mohamed Kamel Gad, Director General of the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai.
The Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage, granted by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, is considered one of the international awards of appreciation with codified scientific standards. It is awarded by the Institute to individuals, groups, or projects. Its main purpose is to appreciate the efforts made in preserving, protecting, studying, and ensuring the continuity of cultural heritage. It is divided into three fields: the best. Practices for preserving elements of cultural heritage, the best narrators (living human treasures), and the best research and studies in cultural heritage. These fields include nine categories, including three categories in each field: local, Arab, and international.
