As part of enhancing cooperation between the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai and the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation, the center hosted employees from the Al Owais Cultural Foundation for a two-day training session on the Library of Congress Classification System. The course was delivered by Mr. Mohamed Fawzi Al-Tarani, a library and information specialist in the Technical Processing Department at the center, under the supervision of department head Mr. Riyad Taher.
The training aimed to provide the participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Library of Congress Classification, with a focus on tables and the structure of subject-specific numbers.
At the end of the session, the trainees expressed their gratitude to Mr. Mohamed Fawzi Al-Tarani for his outstanding presentation of the course.
