Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage organized a virtual lecture via the electronic platform entitled “Building and Managing Institutional Digital Repositories in University Libraries: Requirements and Best Practices, On Wednesday, March 3, 2021” presented by Dr. Ahsan Baburi, librarian at Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage. The lecture was attended by A number of specialists and those interested in library and information science from many Arab countries.
The lecture aimed at providing information workers with the ability to participate and plan well to build successful digital repositories through a number of scientific and practical stages, such as preparing policies and promoting a culture of open access, managing content and metadata, and choosing a good selection of programs and technical techniques necessary for this.
