Juma Al Majid Center Participates in a Cultural Evening on the Arab Cultural Movement in the United Arab Emirates

Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai participated in a virtual cultural evening titled “The Arab Cultural Movement in the United Arab Emirates: Activity and Creativity.” The event was organized by the Arab American Center for Culture and Arts and featured the participation of Ms. Sheikha Abdullah Al Mutairi, Head of the National Culture and Public Relations and Media Departments at Juma Al Majid Center, Dr. Shihab Ghanem, the poet, Aisha Sultan, the media personality, and Dr. Gamal Mekawy. The evening was moderated by Dr. Nabil Al Khatib, Deputy Director of the Arab American Center for Culture and Arts.
Ms. Al Mutairi discussed the efforts of Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in preserving the human heritage through the establishment of several imaging and restoration laboratories in various countries, particularly in West Africa. She also highlighted the efforts made by Juma Al Majid, the center’s chairman, in rescuing manuscripts in Timbuktu, Mali, in addition to the center’s international projects in collaboration with global scientific and cultural institutions.
During the cultural evening, Ms. Al Mutairi also mentioned the services provided by the center to researchers, including access to important books, documents, and manuscripts needed for their studies, as well as the ease of electronic communication with the center’s library.
