Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai participated in the activities of the 20th International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, which was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from September 2 to 8 of this month.
The center’s participation was represented in a lecture entitled “The Bizarra in the Arabic Manuscript, Reading and Prospective,” organized by the Emirates Heritage Club and the Cultural and Heritage Festivals and Programs Management Committee, and presented by Sheikha Abdullah Al-Mutairi, Head of the National Culture, Public Relations and Media Departments at the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage.
Sheikha Al-Mutairi spoke about the meaning of the bizra and the origin of the word. Then she touched on those who wrote about the bizra and mentioned their works before presenting a number of examples of manuscripts dealing with the bizra, medicine, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine in the Arab heritage.
