Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai participated in the International Conference organized by the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, on 12–13 June 2026, under the theme “Science, Technology and Innovation in the Era of the Renaissance of a Powerful State.” The Center took part in the conference at the invitation of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
The Center was represented by Dr. Mohammed Kamel Gad, Director General of the Center, who delivered the Center’s address during the opening plenary session as a guest of honor. He also presented a research paper entitled “The Development of Surgical Technology and Its Impact on the Advancement of Medicine in Islamic Civilization” as part of the conference program.
Mr. Allaberdy Ashirov, President of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, expressed the Academy’s pride in the participation of the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage, praising its contributions to preserving and promoting sources of knowledge and culture, as well as its support for scientific research at both the regional and international levels. He also highlighted the longstanding academic partnership between the Center and the Institute of Manuscripts in Ashgabat, which has continued for more than fifteen years and has produced sustained and fruitful achievements.
Ashirov extended his appreciation to Mr. Juma Al Majid for his outstanding contributions to education, culture, and charitable work through several institutions, including the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage, the Philanthropic Private Schools, Al Wasl University, and Beit Al Khair Society. He noted that these efforts have earned widespread recognition both within Turkmenistan and internationally.
The conference brought together 289 researchers from a wide range of countries, including Germany, China, Italy, Russia, South Korea, the United States, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, and Turkmenistan.
