Juma Al Majid Center Participates in Orientation Day at Zayed University

At the invitation of Zayed University, the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai took part in the university’s orientation event for students on Monday, September 9, 2024. The event aimed to introduce students to the center’s vital role in preserving global heritage.
Sheikha Abdullah Al-Mutairi, Head of the National Culture and Public Relations Departments at the center, delivered a lecture highlighting the center’s efforts in preserving human heritage and showcasing the services it provides to researchers and scholars.
The center also hosted a manuscript restoration workshop led by Mr. Mohamed Al-Dali, Head of the Manual Restoration Division. Meanwhile, Mr. Anwar Al-Zaheri, Head of Public Relations at the center, spoke about the manuscript exhibition held at the university, displaying examples of original manuscripts that had suffered damage. He also explained the tools and techniques used in restoring books, documents, and manuscripts.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Kaltham Omar Al-Majid, Associate Professor at Zayed University, expressed her gratitude to the center for its active participation in the orientation. She also presented an award to the center’s delegation in recognition of their efforts.
