Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai organized a virtual lecture entitled “The works attributed to Imam Al-Suyuti, and not to him”, presented by Dr. Abdul Hakim Al-Anees, Senior Researcher and member of the Senior Scholars Council in the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, and it was attended by a large number of those interested in this subject.
In his lecture, Dr. Abdel Hakim addressed several topics, including the importance of documenting the attribution of books to their authors. In line with the principle of honesty that has been established by the teachings of the Qur’an, and propagated by the Prophet’s guidance, and in order to avoid errors and dangers that may occur if there is a failure in that documentation, including the defect in the history of science, which is an aspect of science that research centers today attach great importance to, and methods of documenting attribution The lecturer explained a number of scientific methods and methods that guarantee this, then spoke about Imam Al-Suyuti, one of the most prominent authors in Islamic civilization, and gave an extensive definition of his writings, and classified them in three lists according to their order and importance, from what the lecturer discovered from his long experience with Al-Suyuti and his heritage.
