Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairwoman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, honored His Excellency Juma Al Majid, Chairman of the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage, with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award on Monday, November 19, 2024, in recognition of his immense efforts in spreading and preserving knowledge for future generations. The award was received on his behalf by his son, Mr. Khalid Juma Al Majid.
This recognition took place on the sidelines of the launch of the 9th Knowledge Summit 2024, one of the leading global platforms for exchanging insights and expertise on the future of knowledge and innovation, organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Knowledge and the United Nations Development Programme.
The summit also honored several distinguished individuals, including Dr. Andrew Ng Yan Tak, a computer scientist and founder of the DeepLearning.AI platform, for his influential contribution to the application of artificial intelligence in education; Dr. David Clark, Emeritus Professor of Experimental Psychology, and Dr. Anke Ehlers, Professor of Experimental Psychopathology, for their remarkable careers in psychology and their impactful contributions to improving medical and social practices; and Dr. Ahmed Eid Al Mehairi, Emirati physicist, for his scientific contributions and diverse research, which have inspired many young people to pursue scientific research.
