As part of its Summer Cultural Program, the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage organized a workshop entitled “Leadership and Management through Effective Communication” on Thursday, 16 July 2026. The workshop was presented by Dr. Abdulqader Al Addaqi, a training and coaching expert, and was attended by 44 participants representing various government and private sector institutions.
The workshop explored several key themes, including the essence of conscious leadership, developing self-awareness to foster mindful communication among individuals, and the modern BPS methodology for re-engineering communication within organizations. Participants were also introduced to the four behavioral and psychological personality types and the communication and influence styles best suited to each, with the aim of enhancing communication effectiveness. Additional topics included communicating with managers and colleagues according to their personality styles, managing workplace conflicts, and addressing disagreements before they escalate into employee burnout.
Dr. Abdulqader Al Addaqi noted that 70 percent of workplace conflicts are not genuine disputes but rather the result of misunderstandings caused by differences in personality styles and unconscious emotional reactions during communication. He explained that the workshop focused on developing a deeper understanding of personality types, applying the four languages of influence, and communicating with managers and colleagues according to their individual styles, thereby reducing tension and improving productivity.
He added that organizations do not change on their own; rather, they evolve through the development and transformation of the people who work within them. He emphasized that engineering conscious communication plays a vital role in strengthening interpersonal communication, enhancing institutional performance, and fostering a collaborative workplace culture built on teamwork.
