Sharjah Legal Book Fair

Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai participated in the Legal Book Fair held from October 22 to 24, 2024. The event was organized by the Judicial Studies Institute, affiliated with the Ministry of Justice, at the University City in the Emirate of Sharjah, with the participation of 24 publishing houses from both within and outside the UAE.
The exhibition was inaugurated by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, in the presence of Counselor Mahmoud Al Kamali, Director of the Institute, along with several legal figures from judicial institutes across the GCC countries.
The center’s participation included showcasing a selection of publications that highlight judicial rulings. Among the featured works were Majalis Al-Qudah wa Al-Hukkam, Tanbeeh wa I’lam Fi Ma Afta Bihi Al-Muftoon wa Hakama Bihi Al-Qudah Min Al-Awham, Legal and Religious Liability for Civil Engineering Works, A Treatise on Legal Policy, and other distinguished publications by the center.
Additionally, the center presented a collection of historical legal manuscripts, such as Al-Fawaakih Al-Badriyah Fi Al-Aqdiyah Al-Hukmiyyah by Ibn Al-Ghars (d. 894 AH), Adab Al-Hukkam Fi Suluuk Tariq Al-Ahkam by Issa bin Othman Al-Ghazi (d. 799 AH), and Al-Irtidha Fi Adab Al-Qada by Al-Khususi (d. 843 AH), among others.
During his visit to the center’s pavilion, the Minister of Justice praised the significant role played by Juma Al Majid in providing valuable references and resources that facilitate students’ studies. He showed great interest in the judicial manuscripts presented by the center.
At the end of the first day, the Minister of Justice honored the participating entities, including the Juma Al Majid Center. The recognition was received on behalf of the center by Mr. Anwar Al Dhaheri, Head of the Public Relations Division.
