As part of its Summer Program, the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai organized a workshop entitled “Talent Management and Development in the Workplace” on Thursday, 30 July 2026. The workshop was presented by Dr. Tareq Rashid, an institutional development expert and a United Nations-accredited international consultant, and was attended by 43 participants from government and private sector institutions across the United Arab Emirates.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of talent management and to demonstrate how to identify employees’ hidden potential, develop their capabilities, and leverage their talents to foster institutional and societal innovation.
During the workshop, Dr. Rashid covered several key topics, including the concept of talent management and its role in achieving organizational objectives, developing talent through training and professional development, the relationship between talent and skills, activating talent and encouraging creativity, the challenges of talent management and strategies for overcoming them, the importance of continuous learning and development, methods for fostering innovation, and a series of practical exercises in which participants actively engaged.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr. Mohammed Kamel Gad, Director General of the Center, presented the speaker with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his distinguished contribution. Certificates of participation were then awarded to all attendees.
