The International Federation of Libraries praises the efforts of the Juma Al Majid Center in preserving world heritage

A delegation from the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) visited the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai. The delegation included Ms. Vicky MacDonald, President of the International Federation of Libraries, and Ms. Sharon Mamis, Secretary General of the International Library Association (IFLA). ), and they were accompanied by Mr. Sultan Al Mazrouei, Member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Library and Information Association.
The visit aimed to learn about the services provided by the center towards researchers, in addition to learning about methods of preserving and maintaining books and manuscripts.
The delegation was received by Dr. Muhammad Kamel Gad, Director General of the Center, and Mr. Anwar Al Dhaheri, Head of the Center’s Public Relations Division. He accompanied them on a detailed tour of a number of the Center’s departments, including the Private Libraries Department, where the delegation was briefed on a number of valuable private collections that it owns.
