Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh visits Juma Al Majid Center

His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Adviser to His Highness the President of uae – Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, visited the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai, with the aim of learning about the distinguished role played by the center in the field of preserving human heritage and serving researchers and scholars all over the world.
During the visit, His Excellency Zaki Nusseibeh listened to a detailed explanation from the Director General about the work of the Center and the efforts made by His Excellency Juma Al Majid, the founder of the Center, to be an intellectual beacon and a treasury of human culture, and his great contribution to preserving the manuscripts of Timbuktu in the state of Mali, Hyderabad in India, Dagestan and other countries that She needs support in order to save her legacy. Dr. Muhammad also talked about the restoration devices with which the center supported the institutions, centers and libraries of those countries.
His Excellency Zaki Nusseibeh toured the center, accompanied by Dr. Muhammad Kamel Jad, with the team, starting with the Private Libraries Section, where he was briefed on the most important and valuable heritage books that were donated to the center. He also visited the digital laboratory to learn about ways to convert books into digital containers to facilitate their preservation and storage. And send it to researchers and those interested. His Excellency went with the Center’s team to the Manuscripts Department and was briefed on some rare original manuscripts that the Center possesses and how they are preserved and indexed. The end of the tour was in the Department of Preservation, Treatment and Restoration, where he listened to a detailed explanation from Dr. Bassam Dagestani, Head of the Department, on the methods of preservation, maintenance and restoration that the center follows in preserving books, manuscripts and documents.
